My life Anew
Posted on April 25 2019
Painting and my family have consistently brought me joy throughout my life. I have always painted since I was a child, but, as most of us know, sometimes we forget to prioritize things that are important simply because they make us happy. With the recent passing of my husband of 41 years, I have decided to more fully focus on my other source of joy – painting. Painting is a healing experience for me, and brings balance to this place of loss. I am so thankful for my children, and grandchildren, that I recognize how important it is that I am full for both them and for myself – to cherish them as a source of happiness. Painting fulfills me for both myself and those I care about in these times of necessary healing. As great of a tool that painting has been for me, I also love teaching others how to paint and look forward to in-cooperating lessons into my offerings at Seaside.
I have always loved making people feel at home and being creative, so for me, it was a natural progression to expand my collection into home goods. I love curating pieces that, although at first glance may not be thought of as matching, can be surprisingly paired together for a fun and creative, collective-aesthetic. I represent both my seaside home and my artistic nature in my collection, because I hope these elements will bring you as much peace and happiness as they bring me.
My family continues to mean the world to me, and I hope to be the best version of myself for them, and for me, that I can be. I love leaning on painting and curating as a healing process for my husband who is dearly missed.
